5 - ENHANCED FAIRNESS
Despite some positive signs in favor of reducing inequalities in certain areas, such as the reduction of income inequalities in some countries and the granting of preferential trade status to low-income countries, inequalities persist. Enhanced equity refers to greater equality and social justice for all, especially for groups that have historically been marginalized or disadvantaged.
Why does ICEDAC USA advocate for greater equity?
Because equity is a fundamental human right, according to Article 7 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights;
Because access, resources and opportunities for success and fulfillment must be guaranteed for all;
Because equity promotes fair and equitable treatment for all, regardless of gender, race, religion or socio-economic status;
Because greater equity can help reduce economic and social inequalities, and guarantee equal access to opportunities and resources.
How can we do this?
By raising awareness through the implementation of anti-discrimination policies and programs in line with Article 7 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights;
By promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace to inspire the next generation to become better and fairer leaders, to ensure a brighter future for all businesses.
