16 - RIGHTS OF DISABLED PEOPLE

Disability law refers to laws and policies that protect the rights and interests of people with disabilities. These laws and policies aim to ensure that disabled people have the same rights and opportunities as non-disabled people, as well as equal access to public services, infrastructure and resources.

The rights of people with disabilities are protected by national and international laws, such as the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which prohibit discrimination on the basis of disability and guarantee access to services and facilities for people with disabilities.

Why does ICEDAC USA value the rights of the disabled?

  • Because it guarantees equal opportunities and access to services and facilities for people with disabilities;
  • Because by promoting equal rights and eliminating discrimination based on disability, we can help create a more inclusive and just society for all.

How can we do this?

To promote the rights of the disabled, ICEDAC USA intends to put in place policies and programs that guarantee equal opportunities and access to services and facilities for people with disabilities. This may include the provision of ramps, disabled toilets and other facilities for people with disabilities.
In addition, organizations can raise awareness of disability issues and the importance of promoting equal rights for all.
